DREDGE has a gameplay loop that is perfect for the Steam Deck. Luckily, it runs beautifully on Valve’s handheld, so you can enjoy DREDGE anywhere. In this article, we’ll give you the best Steam Deck settings for DREDGE with three different settings configurations for the best graphics, the longest battery life, or a balanced mix of both.

DREDGE runs perfectly out of the box — no tweaking or tinkering required. The game feels like it was made to play on the Steam Deck.
Read on for the best Steam Deck settings for DREDGE. Down below, you’ll find two different configurations: best quality settings and battery saving settings.
Recommended — Best Quality Settings (Native | 60fps | ~3h)
The settings below will give you the best possible graphics. Since the game runs so well on the Steam Deck, you get a stable 60 frames per second at native resolution with all visual settings maxed out. Battery life is also great at a little over 3 hours.
As always, we recommend keeping Vsync off to remove input delay. You can always set the Framerate limit to 60 in the Steam Deck Performance menu if you want.

Battery Saving Settings (720p | 40fps | ~4h)
If you really want to pinch every possible minute of battery life out of your Deck, you can use the settings below.
Start by dropping the resolution to 1152 x 720, turning down Shadow Quality, and turning off Reflections and Anti-aliasing. This should get you 3.5 hours of play on a single charge.
Tweak the Steam Deck’s refresh rate and framerate limit to find a setting that works for you. Limiting it to 40fps will get you the best balance between visual quality and battery life, but if you can tolerate it, go ahead and drop it all the way to 30.
